Matt, known as Mr. Matt Baxter to his friends, is a PhD student of Political Science at UC Berkeley. Mr. Matt Baxter’s study involves Political Theory, Comparative Politics, and South Asia. In particular, he is interested in exploring theories of development and progress, the ways in which such theories relied and rely on formulations of a backward Other, and discourses of colonization and post-coloniality within and about the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. He recently shaved his beard.
