Annie McClanahan is a doctoral student in the English Department currently working on a project on late 20th/early 21st century American novels, specifically with regard to issues of speculation, futurity, and prediction in a moment of economic and political crisis. Other interests include knowledge work and manual labor in the new economy, antiglobalization movements, and necrocapital.

She is still a postmodernist, and so are her two cats.
